The course includes eight sessions and is suitable for beginners and students with some experience. You will be introduced to basics, experimental, and advanced hand-building techniques.

You will learn about clay's many possibilities and potential as a sculptural material. There will be demonstrations of how to use technique and you will receive guidance throughout the building process.

You will learn how to transform an idea into practice and build, shape, dry, and glaze your piece correctly. There will be time for you to engage with your sculpture and get individual feedback on your process during all classes. By the end of the course we will fire the works so you can bring home your finished ceramic sculptures or designs.

  • Day one: Introduction to various hand-building techniques. Discussing ideas and preparing 1:1 sketches
  • Day two: We will start working with our individual pieces.
  • Day three, four, five and six: Working on your own designs. Day seven: Finishing all the pieces; final touch-ups,
  • Day eight: Discussing glazing ideas, principles and final glazing.

Your finished pieces can be picked up at the studio within 2-3 weeks after finishing the class.

Booking and payment are binding. If the class gets canceled, you will receive a voucher for a new class. We, unfortunately, don’t refund classes.
