Learn how to make your own teapot and a set of matching teacups in the Weekend Masterclass November. We will prepare our own special clay blend made at the studio, to get the right quality, texture and preferred brown to black color for the course.   

Day one, On our first day we're focussed on understanding how to create a drip free teapot and throwing the three piece set - the body of the teapot, the spout and lastly a lid.

We will also be taking a deep dive into the magic of creating perfect styled cups for your teapot. We will use various throwing techniques and applying texture into the claybody. 

Day two, On our second day, we will be trimming your teapot and putting the 3 pieces together for a well balanced and drip free teapot. We will also be trimming the cups, carving, adding handles to your pieces to make them ready for the first bisque firing. 

Day three, during the third and last day of the course, you will learn how to glaze your pieces. You can choose from a wide selection of our different glazes, all made at the studio. If you're not able to attend the glazing evening, we can offer to do this for you from our preselected glazes. If you're not able to attend the glazing evening we can glaze your pieces in a single layered studio glaze.

Although the course is focused on learning rather than making pieces, you will be able to keep 1 teapot and up to 5 cups on this course.
