We have designed a thorough 12 weeks wheel throwing course for either a beginner or for you looking to revisit the basics before moving to next level courses, or a studio membership.

You will receive a solid hands-on introduction to clay and the potter's wheel, the curriculum introduces the basics of wedging, throwing and trimming clay on the wheel, as well as glazing of the functional ware that you create. Each weekly class is three and a half hours long.

For each student we are focusing on developing and strengthening their wheel throwing foundations. We will practice making cylinders, various size bowls, cups with handles, candleholder and a vase. Although the course is focused on learning rather than making pieces, you will be able to keep between 12-14 of the pieces you make.

We offer free use of our wide studio selection of tools throughout your course.

Your finished pieces can be picked up at the studio within 2-3 weeks after finishing the course.

Your booking can get refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After this period, your booking is binding, even if you miss one or more days of the course. If a class is cancelled by Reykjavik Clay, you will receive a voucher for a future course. It is not possible to switch course once booked. Please note that no refunds are given beyond the initial 24-hour window.
